Art delaCruz is a mission-driven executive leader with a record of transforming organizations across the nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors. As Chief Executive Officer of Team Rubicon, a $48M humanitarian nonprofit with more than 200,000 volunteers, he led the organization through rapid growth, digital transformation, and strategic expansion into domestic, rebuild, and international operations. Under his leadership, Team Rubicon earned recognition as Nonprofit of the Year and appeared on the Nonprofit Times Best Places to Work list five consecutive years.
Art previously served as President and COO of Team Rubicon, where he scaled operations 350% to meet national disaster and pandemic response needs, increasing revenue from $8M to $42M. His leadership was characterized by disciplined execution, people-centered culture, and a focus on measurable impact.
Earlier, as Senior Director of Strategic Planning at Northrop Grumman, Art developed long-range growth strategies, oversaw major R&D initiatives, and launched innovation programs to accelerate technology adoption across aerospace and defense sectors.
A retired U.S. Navy officer and Topgun instructor, Art commanded a $950M F/A-18 squadron and served as a Secretary of Defense Corporate Fellow at McKinsey & Company, advising the Pentagon and Congress on organizational effectiveness. During his service, he made six combat deployments and accumulated nearly 4000 flight hours and 850 carrier landings.
He holds a master’s in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas and a physics degree from the U.S. Naval Academy. Art is passionate about leading purpose-driven organizations that combine innovation, discipline, and human impact.

During his 22-year career in the Navy, Art delaCruz was tasked with various assignments, including six combat deployments, commanding a Navy strike-fighter squadron, serving as a Topgun instructor, and serving as a Secretary of Defense Corporate Fellow at McKinsey & Co. Following his time in the Navy, he worked in Business Development and Strategy & Planning for the aerospace and defense sector.
